The Wilsus Juxta is the non-wireless variant of the Wilsus Tradenda. This particular version of the Wilsus Juxta is the special CLOSE-FOCUS variant. That means that this model comes with 4 close-focus lenses (+1, +2, +4, and +8 diopters) and a special lens adapter that can be pushed onto the wildlife camera like this and then stay perfectly in place. The close-focus lenses can then be screwed onto the lens adapter, making it very easy to choose the right close-focus lens for the desired focus distance. In addition, the Wilsus Juxta features a number of smart settings that allow you to perfectly match the wildlife camera to the desired target. These include adjustable flash intensity and sensor sensitivity.

As a rule of thumb, you can assume that the focusing distance is approximately 1 divided by the diopter of the lens (in meters). So a close-focus lens of +4 gives a focusing distance of 1/4 = 0.25 meters. Without using the close-focus lenses, the minimum focusing distance of the Wilsus Juxta is about 1.5 meters (this applies to all wildlife cameras with a standard lens, by the way). In addition, the Wilsus Juxta CLOSE FOCUS features a number of smart settings that allow you to perfectly match the wildlife camera to the desired target. The extremely compact Wilsus Juxta has an anthracite housing and features two locking clips on the right side, within which the AA batteries and settings should be entered. When using Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries, the wildlife camera can last extra long. The 2-inch built-in color viewer allows live viewing of what the wildlife camera is observing and viewing captured images directly in the field. This makes setting up the wildlife camera very easy!

All camera traps are supplied with a nylon strap for mounting, but without any other accessories. However, to get started with your cameratrap right away, you need at least a set of batteries and an SDHC memory card. For this model, this is a standard SDHC memory card of at least Class 10, such as the Sandisk Ultra cards. Additionally, we recommend to use the Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries (not rechargeable), or the Panasonic Eneloop and Eneloop PRO rechargeable NiMH batteries. The advantage of the lithium batteries over the rechargeable Eneloop batteries is that the former are more resistant to winter temperatures. The disadvantage however, is that they are non-rechargeable. If you choose rechargeable batteries, think of the Everactive battery charger, in case you don't have a good battery charger in your house!
In addition to batteries and a memory card, there is a variety of other accessories available for this cameramodel.
