The Spypoint Solar Dark is the counterpart of the Spypoint Solar. In contrast to the Spypoint Solar, the Spypoint Solar Dark is equipped with a complete invisible infrared flash. Ideal against disturbance and theft! What makes the Spypoint Solar models truly unique is the integrated solar panel on top of the camera. Various tests and reviews have shown that in most circumstances this cameratrap can run fully on the power generated by this small panel! Batteries are history. Spypoint Solar Dark | Appearance

The Spypoint Solar Dark is easily recognized by the solar panel attached to the top of the camera. The solar panel does not require direct sunlight and charges the internal battery as soon as it comes into contact with any source of light; even interior lighting! This compact cameratrap features a grey camouflaged casing at the front. The casing is equipped with a single clip on the right side, with which you get access to the settings. The 2.0-inch internal color viewer makes it possible to see live the view of the cameratrap and to review captured images or videos directly in the field, which makes the set-up of the cameratrap a lot easier. If desired, external AA batteries (8 pieces) can be added to the back of the camera by means of a click system at the bottom. When using Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries, the cameratrap can last a staggering 35 months! (not including the use of the solar panel)

Spypoint Solar Dark | Recommended accessories

All camera traps are supplied without accessories. However, to get started with your cameratrap right away, you need at least a set of batteries and an SDHC memory card. For this model, this is a standard SDHC memory card of at least Class 10, such as the Sandisk Ultra cards. Additionally, we recommend to use the Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries (not rechargeable), or the Panasonic Eneloop and Eneloop PRO rechargeable NiMH batteries. The advantage of the lithium batteries over the rechargeable Eneloop batteries is that the former are more resistant to winter temperatures. The disadvantage however, is that they are non-rechargeable. If you choose rechargeable batteries, think of the Japcell battery charger, in case you don't have a good battery charger in your house!

In addition to batteries and a memory card, there is a variety of other accessories available for this cameramodel. There are all kinds of special mounting materials such as tree forks and supports, but also accessories that ensure that the camera is placed more securely, such as a security enclosures or a python cable lock.
