The Spypoint Link-Micro 4G WIRELESS is the mini wireless camera model from Spypoint. It enables you to send camera images (via a SIM card) to the Spypoint App from anywhere in the world. The ease of use and affordability makes this an extremely suitable camera for beginners. The sensitivity of the sensor can be set to your own preference (low, medium, high). This allows you to choose a higher sensitivity for when you would like to focus on smaller animals. If the focus is on the somewhat larger species, or reducing the number of 'false triggers' (i.e. pictures without animals), a lower sensitivity can be preferred. The cameratrap is equipped with a visible infrared flash, which ensures that the images are a bit more exposed at night. Additional specifications of the Spypoint Link-Micro are:

The Spypoint Link Micro is an extremely compact cameratrap with a camouflaged housing at the front. The housing is equipped with a single clip on the right side, where the AA batteries (8 pieces) and the Micro-SD card need to be inserted. The settings are installed with the free Spypoint app. The camera only has an on/off switch on the housing itself. The same app also makes it possible to adjust settings and review the captured images.

The Spypoint Link-Micro has an internal built-in 4G SIM card. This wildlife camera has a simlock, and therefore it is not possible to insert another sim card yourself. You have to use the international SIM card included in the camera, which automatically selects the best available network at the location where the camera is placed. This works within the Netherlands, but also in the rest of Europe. Each month you get the first 100 images for free, once you have reached this limit, the camera will no longer send images to the app that month (it will of course still record and store them locally on the memory card). For a monthly fee, you can arrange to forward more images per month. This monthly fee is paid directly to Spypoint, and so we are not in the middle of this. Compared to a regular prepaid SIM card and the associated fees for forwarding images, these rates are very much in line with the market. For example, if you choose the "Standard package", you pay €10 per month (or even just €7 per month if you pay in 1x for a whole year) in exchange for 1,000 photos. That means you pay about 1 cent per forwarded photo. When using a regular KPN Prepaid SIM card, the rate per photo is also about 1 cent. You can change or stop the tariff plan at any time and go back to the free version.

The Spypoint Link-Micro SOLAR LTE is only delivered with the necessary SIM-cards and a nylon strap. However, to immediately start using your cameratrap, you will need at least a set of batteries and a SD memory card. In case of the Spypoint Link-Micro, it is a micro SDHC memory card. For this model we recommend using the Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries (non-rechargeable), or the Panasonic Eneloop or Eneloop PRO rechargeable batteries. The advantage of the lithium batteries over the rechargeable Eneloop batteries is that the former are more resistant to winter temperatures. If you choose rechargeable batteries, think of the Everactive 8-bank charger, in case you don't have a good battery charger in your house!

Besides batteries and a memory card, there are all kinds of other accessories available for this cameratrap.
