Panasonic Eneloop batteries are ideal for use in camera traps. Unlike traditional rechargeable batteries Eneloop batteries hold their charge much longer. For example, after 5 years a Eneloop battery still has 70% of its original charge. Furthermore, Eneloop batteries can be recharged up to 2100 times. That means that one eneloop battery replaces 2100 alkaline batteries! Eneloop batteries are 4 times more powerful than ordinary alkaline batteries (such as th well known standard Duracell battery), and eneloop batteries can deal much better with low temperatures (up to -20 degrees Celsius) than alkaline batteries. Eneloop batteries come in two versions, the standard white Eneloops and the black Eneloop Pro version. The standard white Eneloops have a capacity of 2000 mAh, while the Pro version has a capacity of 2550 mAh. Panasonic Eneloop batteries are offered in a handy plastic case.
The only battery you'll ever need
Eneloop combines the superior technology of modern nickel metal hydride rechargeable batteries with the advantages of conventional alkaline batteries. Right from the launch of the first LSD-battery (Low Self Discharge) the Eneloop brand was known all over the world and they unleashed a revolution in the segment of rechargeable consumer batteries.
Low Self Discharge – Use, Charge, Store
Eneloop batteries are immediately ready for use after purchase because they are pre-loaded when sold, and they maintain their charge. They retain up to 70% of their charge after 5 years of storage. So with Panasonic Eneloop batteries, your trail camera is always ready for use.
More usable capacity
Eneloop maintains a voltage of 1.1 Volts for a long period of time, and will only fall below this limit when it is at the end of its life (in contrast to standard alkaline batteries that drop below 1 Volts very quickly. Eneloop batteries have a voltage of 1.2V and a marked capacity of 2000 mAh for the standard version and 2550 mAh for the Pro version.
Eneloop Pro: Large capacity for professional use
With its capacity of 2550 mAh, the Eneloop Pro batteries are designed for applications that require a lot of power, like the flash of a camera. Eneloop PRO batteries are sold pre-charged and developed to excel in extreme conditions such as low temperatures of -20 degrees Celsius. Just like the regular Eneloop batteries, this battery can be used straight out of the box and will retain up to 85% of its charge after one year. Do note that the Pro version can "only" be recharged 500 times rather than the 2100 times for the standard white version!
