The Green Backyard nesting box is specifically for use with nesting box cameras. The nesting box is slightly higher than usual so there is enough room above the entrance opening to place the nesting box camera. There is also a special opening (covered with a matte sanded piece of Plexiglas) on the side for extra daylight so that the nest box camera will continue to record in color for as long as possible. The nest box has an adjustable entrance opening (25,28,32 & 38mm) which is convenient for different bird species.

The nest box has an adjustable entrance opening which is convenient for different bird species. Three stainless steel plates in different diameters (25,28,32 & 38 mm) are included with this birdhouse, so you can choose which bird species will occupy your birdhouse. For small birds such as blue tits, great tits and swamp tits: 25mm, great tits and tree sparrows: 28mm, large variety including house sparrows, tree sparrows and woodpeckers: 32mm.
The birdhouse has a grooved inner wall, this helps young birds get out of the birdhouse more easily. This climbing aid is to help the fledged young to climb out of the nest box easily. You can place a raised wire mesh floor above the bottom of the birdhouse, it can help keep the birdhouse dry and clean to reduce damage from insect infestations (recommended is 2-3 inches of dry sawdust or wood chips above the wire mesh). Moreover, the roof is also removable so you can easily mount any camera.
