The Vortex Diamondback HD 8x42 has an ultra-hard and scratch-resistant ArmorTrek coating. The non-slip grip makes the rubber casing easy to hold. The waterproof seal (by means of rubber rings) prevents the penetration of moisture and dirt and makes these binoculars truly waterproof. Besides that, the binoculars are gas-filled, which prevents internal condensation during high temperature fluctuations.
