Browning 2020 Strike Force HD MAX
The Browning Strike Force HD MAX is - together with the Browning Dark Ops HD MAX - the new entry-level model from the Browning 2020 series! The only difference lies in the flash mechanism. Just like all Strike Force models, the Strike Force HD MAX is equipped with a visible infrared flash, which ensures that the images are a bit more exposed at night. Both the flash- and detection range are adjustable between 18 and 24 meters. This comes in handy when you expect an animal to come close by the camera (e.g. when aiming at a bait or a bird's nest). Additionally, the detection speed is adjustable; from 0.2 to 0.7 seconds. With tricks like these, you can connect your cameratrap even more specifically to your desired goal. Additional specifications of the Browning Strike Force HD MAX are:
- Detection range of 24 meters (adjustable)
- Flash range of 30 meters (adjustable)
- Maximum photo resolution of 18MP (interpolated)
- 900p HD video resolution
- Dynamic video function
- Time-lapse
- Multilangual user interface
- Capture timer, with which you can select a custom time frame to capture events
Browning 2020 Strike Force HD MAX | Appearance
The Browning Strike Force HD MAX has an extremely compact housing with a camouflage print. The cameratrap is equipped with a cover on the lower half of the front where the settings need to be entered. The AA-batteries go into a special battery slide, underneath the cameratrap. When using Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries, the cameratrap can last a very long time! This model does not have an internal color viewer that allows you to review captured images or videos directly in the field, or to assist you in aiming the lens of the cameratrap optimally. If you prefer an internal color viewer, have a look at the Browning Strike Force HD Pro X or the Browning Recon Force Edge.
Browning 2020 Strike Force HD MAX | Benefits
+ very fast detection- and recovery time (0.2s/0.6s)
+ intuitive menu settings
+ long battery life
+ SD card management
Browning 2020 Strike Force HD MAX | Alternatives
For a little more money, there is also the Browning Strike Force HD Pro X. This camera model may not have an adjustable flash and detection range, but it does have an extremely fast detection and recovery time (0.22s/0.4s). In addition, the Strike Force HD Pro X has an internal color viewer and mounting bracket, which makes it easy to aim the cameratrap while setting it up.

Browning 2020 Strike Force HD MAX | Recommended accessories
All camera traps are supplied without accessories. However, to get started with your cameratrap right away, you need at least a set of batteries and an SDHC memory card. For this model, this is a standard SDHC memory card of at least Class 10, such as the Sandisk Ultra cards. Additionally, we recommend to use the Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries (not rechargeable), or the Panasonic Eneloop and Eneloop PRO rechargeable NiMH batteries. The advantage of the lithium batteries over the rechargeable Eneloop batteries is that the former are more resistant to winter temperatures. The disadvantage however, is that they are non-rechargeable. If you choose rechargeable batteries, think of the Japcell battery charger, in case you don't have a good battery charger in your house!
In addition to batteries and a memory card, there is a variety of other accessories available for this cameramodel. There are all kinds of special mounting materials such as tree forks and supports, but also accessories that ensure that the camera is placed more securely, such as a security enclosures or a python cable lock. You can select these accessories directly above and place your order as a bundle, but you can also view the complete overview of accessories here.
