The Browning Patriot is the latest model from the 2020 Browning collection, and a new addition to the dual lens technology. The sensor and lens combination has been fine-tuned to deliver clear and razor-sharp images both day and night, including a completely invisible infrared flash of military quality! The dual lens makes the cameratrap completely silent, since there is no mechanical filter needed that slides in front of the lens when the invisible infrared flash turns on. This makes the cameratrap even less conspicuous! Additional specifications of the Browning Patriot are:

The Browning Patriot has a compact housing covered with a camouflage print, and is easy to distinguish due to the presence of two lenses (just like the Dark Ops Pro DCL and the Strike Force Pro DCL). The cameratrap has a cover on the lower part of the front where the settings need to be entered. The 2.0-inch internal color viewer makes it possible to see live the view of the cameratrap and to review captured images or videos directly in the field, which makes the set-up of the cameratrap a lot easier. The AA batteries go into a special battery compartment, which is pushed into the bottom of the cameratrap. When using Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries, the camera can last a very long time!

Are you looking for a slightly more compact dual Lens cameratrap? Have a look at the Browning Dark Ops Pro DCL. This model runs on only 6 AA batteries and is therefore slightly smaller than the Browning 2020 Patriot. Are you looking for a model with a visible infrared flash, have a look at the Browning Strike Force Pro DCL. This model is the similar to the Dark Ops PRO XD, but with a visible infrared flash, so the range of the night vision is generally a little stronger.

All camera traps are supplied without accessories. However, to get started with your cameratrap right away, you need at least a set of batteries and an SDHC memory card. For this model, this is a standard SDHC memory card of at least Class 10, such as the Sandisk Ultra cards. Additionally, we recommend to use the Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries (not rechargeable), or the Panasonic Eneloop and Eneloop PRO rechargeable NiMH batteries. The advantage of the lithium batteries over the rechargeable Eneloop batteries is that the former are more resistant to winter temperatures. The disadvantage however, is that they are non-rechargeable. If you choose rechargeable batteries, think of the Everactive battery charger, in case you don't have a good battery charger in your house!
In addition to batteries and a memory card, there is a variety of other accessories available for this cameramodel. | Other noteworthy specifications | This camera has different shooting modes in photo mode: in "multi-shot", the camera can take 1-8 photos per trigger with 2 seconds between each photo, while in "Rapid Fire" mode also 1-8 photos can be taken in one trigger, but with only 0.3 seconds between each photo. Furthermore, this camera has the so-called Smart IR Video functionality. This function means that the camera will continue to film as long as movement is detected in front of the camera. So even if the video length is set to 20 seconds, for example, the camera will continue filming until the animal has disappeared from view, or until a total of 2 consecutive minutes have been filmed.
