Scoutguard SG2060-T with triple flash (White flash)
The Bolyguard SG2060-T with triple flash is a wildlife camera manufactured by Boly Media Inc. What makes the Bolyguard SG2060-T especially unique is the fact that it has a triple flash; an invisible infrared flash (which is what most wildlife cameras have), a WHITE LED flash and a WHITE XENON flash. The invisible flash provides good night images in black and white, which is ideal in places with a risk of theft or where wildlife disturbance is a risk. The two white flashes provide beautiful color images at night. The Xenon flash is the most powerful but requires a brief recharge each time after use, so it can only be used for photos. The LED flash is in fact similar to the infrared LEDs, but with a visible white light (like the ones you often see on cell phones). This makes it possible to take both photos and videos, completely in color. This leads to spectacular night images! It also seems that the disturbance to the animals seems to be anything but negligible. Of course, a startle reaction is often seen with the first sighting of an individual animal, but in all cases, that same individual continues to visit the camera location as usual, and thus no lasting disturbance seems to occur. At present, the Bolyguard SG2060-T is the only wildlife camera on the market that combines a completely invisible infrared flash with a white flash, and thus with the choice to switch between color images at night or black-and-white night images, making it a very interesting choice for specific applications!
Scoutguard SG2060-T with triple flash | Main features
One of the most important features of the Bolyguard SG2060-T is the flash. As mentioned, this allows you to choose whether the night images are in color or black and white. The Bolyguard SG2060-T is one of the few models with a white flash in our entire range. But the white flash is not the only thing that stands out. This wildlife camera has a 16MP CMOS image sensor, which is interpolated to a maximum photo resolution of 48 megapixels. In itself, the 48MP photo resolution is not necessarily spectacular, but many of the other brands in this price range do not reach a photo resolution of 48MP first of all, but often they also use a 5MP CMOS sensor, and this is where image quality really matters. Interpolation can basically be done just as well afterwards in a good photo editing program on the computer, but the actual number of pixels captured when taking a picture is determined by the image sensor. In the more expensive models we see more and more 8MP sensors or sensors with even higher MP values, but in this price range this is still quite exceptional! Furthermore, the Bolyguard SG2060-T also has a large detection range and flash range of up to 25 meters! In practice, however, it must be said that we are of the opinion that you should never count on a perfectly exposed night image at distances greater than 15 meters from the camera. This is only possible when conditions are perfect (full moon, clear sky, and thus plenty of night light). Finally, the Bolyguard SG2060-T has a built-in 2.0-inch color viewer on which captured photos and videos can be instantly reviewed, but which also makes setting up easy due to the large color screen.

Scoutguard SG2060-T with triple flash | Recommended accessories
All camera traps are supplied with a nylon strap for mounting, but without any other accessories. However, to get started with your cameratrap right away, you need at least a set of batteries and an SDHC memory card. For this model this is a standard SDHC memory card of at least Class 10, such as the Sandisk Ultra cards. Additionally, we recommend to use the Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries (not rechargeable), or the Panasonic Eneloop and Eneloop PRO rechargeable NiMH batteries. The advantage of the lithium batteries over the rechargeable Eneloop batteries is that the former are more resistant to winter temperatures. The disadvantage however, is that they are non-rechargeable. If you choose rechargeable batteries, think of the Everactive 8-bank charger, in case you don't have a good battery charger in your house!
In addition to batteries and a memory card, there is a variety of other accessories available for this cameramodel. There are all kinds of special mounting materials such as tree forks and supports, but also accessories that ensure that the camera is placed more securely, such as a steel security enclosure or a python cable lock. You can select these accessories directly above and place your order as a bundle, but you can also view the complete overview of accessories here.
