Binoculars | brings nature close

Below you will find our complete range of binoculars (binocular, monocular and spotting scope). Binoculars are optical instruments that enlarge a person's field of vision, making it easier to identify what is at a distance. The first binoculars date back to the year 1608, designed by Dutchman Hans Lippershey. At the time, he used a negative ocular lens that creates an upright image without the use of prisms. Over time, to improve the magnification and angle of view of the binoculars, two types of prism systems were used; dormant- and porroprisms. The difference is mainly in the beam path and prism placement. In roof prism binoculars, the light rays pass straight through the prisms placed one behind the other. In porro binoculars, the prisms face each other and the light radiation rotates by 180°.
